Why is it when I try to copy and paste some really important Notes the Notes just disappear that which I have a hi-lighted and never to be seen again. I’ve done this several times and had to input all the data again this is very tiresome and I keep forgetting how are unreliable it is because noted used to work beautifully. What happened?

Which iOS version is your phone? How are you doing the copy and pasting? Notes can be stored locally or on iCloud. Notes can also be face ID or password protected. Are you sure you're copying and pasting, rather than cutting and pasting? Copying highlighted text shouldn't remove anything, but choosing "cut" on highlighted text removes it.
Thank you I highlight it to copy but it deletes it and I don’t press cut!
