Should I leave my MacBook Pro on sleep always plugged in ?

Hello. I just graduated HS and in autumn I'll start my CS degree so I just bought a MacBook Pro as my main computer for college. I'm super excited about it as it's my first Mac and I actually want to learn Swift language in the remaining summer break. I also have a Windows PC that I'm using, and I like to use my Mac at home in clamshell mode because I like bigger screen sizes.

My question is, is it bad to leave my Mac on sleep plugged in when I'm not using it? I'm concerned about the battery if it will be damaged by the fact that's fully charged always. I have to mention that the Optimized Battery software didn't start working for me as I just started to use my Mac and I checked on CoconutBattery and the battery stays at its full capacity charged and is 100% all the time. Should I install Al Dente and stop the charging process at 80% or fully trust Apple that the Optimized Battery setting will eventually start to take care of my battery?

Here is a full pic of my setup for a better understanding. I also have to notice that I'm not from the US and I don't have AppleCare+ so I want to take care of my battery as well as I possibly can.

There are endless opinions, misinformation, voodoo incantations, about how to maintain batteries. Most of it is utter nonsense. Modern hardware optimizes battery health like never before. A battery will not be damaged if it is always fully charged. You can leave your MacBook plugged in all the time. The charging system will take care of the battery so it is not damaged. I personally never recommend installing software that overrides system software, be it battery charging, controlling fan speeds, etc.
