Weather app high temps usually 2-4 lower than weather.gov

Apple weather app seems to often report locations as having current temps 2-4 degrees lower than those reported at weather.gov . Given that dangerous heat waves cause more loss of life than any other type of natural disaster, this type of error doesn’t seem trivial. Note that NOAA temperature data collector requirements already restrain temperatures to their most conservative cases: sensors within permanently shadowed vented boxes that are mounted above ground, far away from paved surface and heat generating equipment. (Typical outdoor heatwave scenarios will result in air temps 4-10 degrees above the NOAA temps.)
