TB3 Cable + Ext. Display Not Recognized in Sys. Information, No Video Output from Thunderbolt-Connected External Display (M1 MBP w/ Sonoma to Asus ProArt PA32UC)
I am using a high quality TB3-to-TB3 CableMatters cable, which I have successfully connected my MacBook Pro with in the past w/ this specific monitor. I did use a couple of other Thunderbolt-based cables I have with a couple of different MBP ports, a couple different Asus PA TB Ports.
I haven't had much luck looking through my console's log for any glaring issues. Especially because I must wade through tons of "Family"-related errors that many have been experiencing.
This happens to be one of the few I latched onto/recognized as relevant to my issue.
[UARPAppleHPM doAtomic4CC:data:dataLength:extData:dataOut:dataOutLength:dataOutLengthRead:extDataOut:error:]: 4cc operation failed <0x08>, iteration 0. <private>
The TB Port information does change *very* slightly when I connect the monitor, and it does charge my MBP. It'll go from 0x100 (Link Status) & 0x1 (Link Width) to –> 0x1:0x0. If I refresh the information, sometimes it'll show an LS of 0x7 instead.
Also, I have been having odd issues with the clock accuracy or my location services. Basically whenever I start/return from hibernation, my Macbook shows the time as if I am in MST or PST (can't remember off the top of my head) whereas I am in EST. Outside of restarts, I have even tried sudo nvram -c with no luck.
Unsure if these are related. But I wouldn't be surprised if this is all one interrelated issue in the privacy/file ownership realm because another recent issue, that randomly resolved itself, was my MBP wasn't recognizing my previously connected MIDI Keyboard correctly.
Thanks for any help!
