How to daisy chain displays on M1 MacBook Pro M1 Pro Chip?

I have a 2021 M1 Macbook Pro M1 Pro Chip. I have 2 BenQ GW2790QT they say the monitor supports daisy chain, but it isn't working. I have watched the video but my monitors do not have the extra Thunderbolt ports so I am using a video cable. NB: the set up link for the monitors noted above go to that video.

Set up:

I have a TB cable from Macbook to first monitor then Video Cable "out" to second monitor "in". Result: laptop open with one screen the other two monitors then show the same display.

I have changed the settings so the MST is to on.

Thanks a million.

To support up to TWO displays on one port on a Mac, the Port, the Cable, and the first device (Dock or Display) must be genuine Thunderbolt.

if the first display is a Thunderbolt display, any supported display cable { Thunderbolt, DisplayPort, USB-C, HDMI } can be used from first to second display.

All cables must be appropriately short. For Thunderbolt cables, 0.8 meters for Apple cables, 0.5 meters for Brand-X.

Who is "they"? Exactly what are they telling you? Equipment makers will often make broad claims about compatibility and available features. For the most part, such claims are accurate, but there's nothing to say any of it shall work with your system. No two Macs are exactly alike in every respect.

Their claims are based purely on perfect laboratory conditions; conditions the average computer user will never meet.

If BenQ is telling you the system works, get them to walk you through making it do so. Remember, makers of equipment, and apps for that matter, are responsible for making their product work with macOS, not the other way around.

That being said, standby for proposed solutions from the community.
