Can't Search Own Library

I finally figured out how to search my own library without being taken to Apple store! Click Songs in your library & then under view in toolbar click on Filter Field & it brings up a search bar to search your own library. You can also turn on Column browsers under View.

Searching iTunes store I'm having problems searching for music in the iTunes store. I have the store in the side bar on the left of the screen but when I click in the search box there is no option to select the store as a search location - it just says 'searching your library'. I read an earlier post saying that when you click in the search box 3 dots appear on the right. I do have three dots but they only open 'playing next' and 'history' options. I would love to buy and download some more music!

Music Won't Let Me Search the Store--only My Library I'm using Music 1.2.5.7 on Monterey. It doesn't allow me to search Apple Music (I'm not a subscriber) or the iTunes Store. I have only the old search function in the left-hand sidebar, but as soon as I enter anything in Search it goes only to my library. There is no button on the left or right that would allow me to choose the store. I've just gone through several answers to this question, and they all reference a Music>Preferences screen that I do not get. In my window there is no bar with Apple Music/iTunes Store/My Library. I want to buy music but it won't let me.

"Add to Library" option is missing Trying to add non-Music purchased music to Apple Music. Started dragging and dropping from folder in Finder into Recently Added in Music. Then after a few, it stopped. I had initially tried to just use Add to Library function which existed before, but months later (post Ventura update), the "Add to Library" function doesn't exist. Why is there not an intuitive process for simply adding music to one's own library?
