My laptop produced a loud staticPop, then speakers stopped working, loud pop again, speakers working again

While I was streaming movies on my laptop, there was a loud poping noise and when I attempted to start the movie again there was no audio coming from my speakers despite my volume being all the way up. The lack of audio lasted a little lesst than 5 mins and then another pop came from my computer followed by the audio working again. Is this something I should be concerned about? Should I take my laptop to a tech or is it just a glitch?
