How to stop brightness dimming on iphone 14 pro, with all options turned off for auto-brightness

i would like to have control over my own phone’s brightness but apparently that’s not allowed. It keeps dimming when i’m outside to the point where i can’t see anything even with the brightness on maximum.

Auto brightness turned off

true tone turned off

face ID & attention turned off

night shift turned off

the only good answer here is to tell me how to turn the auto dimming off.

Is there a way to prevent it from doing that even through an overheating moment, even if i decide that i want to possibly damage the hardware?

I very much doubt it.

The reason I bought this up was: I had been having issues with my brightness dimming, growing brighter, dimming, etc. for a very long time. It had never happened 24/7. Only sometimes during the day. (During the time when I was doing a certain activity which requires a lot of power, I would later realize.)

Recently, I was reading posts in older ASC threads, just seeing what I could learn about random topics, when I stumbled upon a very interesting post. It read something like this: “When your iPhone heats up, and the heat has nowhere to go, the brightness will automatically dim to protect the device…” Now, I know I completely butchered what the original post said, but you get the idea.

Well, after I read the post, I kind of forgot about it. However, when I next experienced my screen fading and growing brighter and fading again, etc., I thought back to the post above. So I touched the screen, just to see what the temperature felt like. And what do you know, it was quite hot!

So, with the post above in mind, I took of my heavy duty, very protective case, and about 10 mins later, my screen had become very noticeably cooler, and the brightness had returned to and never again left the set 100% brightness level.

Of course, true experiments mustn’t be tried only once, so the next two days I repeated the process I have relayed above. Both times, the brightness stopped fluctuating after I removed the cover.

After that, I took to removing the cover when I was performing the activity which required a lot of battery power, thus heating up the device, and I have never had this problem since.

Are you having the same problem I’m having? Perhaps, perhaps not. What I suggest is, take off the cover, and see if the issue persists.
