Unchecked music in iTunes is appearing in my iPhone app

Hello, I've spent a lot of time organizing the music in my iTunes library, unchecking less desirable songs from the hundreds of albums I have. Ever since I signed up for Apple Music, all the unchecked music in my library is appearing and interfering with the albums I enjoy. How do I remove these unchecked albums from the Apple Music cloud service / sync? Thanks for any help! I'm having to press skip forward so much right now...

Windows, Windows 10

Hello Electroverted,

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

You may need to turn off Sync Library. These steps can show you were the setting is to disable it:

"How to turn on Sync Library on your Mac

  1. Open the Apple Music app.
  2. In the menu bar, choose Account and make sure that you're signed in with the same Apple ID that you use with your Apple Music subscription.
  3. Choose File > Library > Organize Library. Then select Consolidate files.
  4. Choose Music > Settings or Music > Preferences.
  5. Click the General tab.
  6. Select Sync Library.Preferences showing Sync Library turned on
  7. Click Ok.
  8. Wait for your music library to sync. To check the status, go to the bottom of the sidebar and click Updating Cloud Library.
  9. Turn on Sync Library on your other devices."

Additional details can be found here: How to turn on Sync Library on your Mac

If the issue persists, can you provide a few more details? When did you first notice this? Also, which devices and OS versions are you currently using

Cheers!

I appreciate the attempt, but the main reason I bought Apple Music was that my library is bigger than my phone and I wanted to pay for a cloud to listen to all of it. If that's the case, if Apple isn't gonna provide a way to filter out the hundreds of bad songs on good albums, the only choice will be to unsubscribe from Apple Music next month.

While the new music and playlist pages are great on Apple, Spotify does it better. It was a choice between those two, and I figured since I have an iCloud, Apple made sense. But my Music app library is a MESS now.
