Apple TV red circle next to Users and Accounts

I think the red circle started showing up after i changed the password for my Apple user ID. Even after logging into iCloud, Store, and Game Center, with the new password, the red circle remained.

I was able to fix the issue by deleting the user and reinstalling the user, as follows: in Users and Accounts, 1) select Default User, 2) scroll to bottom and select Remove User from Apple TV, 3) Add New User.

Once I was logged back in with my Apple user ID and password, the red circle was gone.
