Snapchat is escaping screen time control

Snapchat is escaping screen time control on my kid’s phone. My kids can download it back even I set “Don’t Allowed” to “Installed Apps” under iTune and App Store Purchases on his phone. He can still use Snapchat even it’s not on the always allows list, and have been set time limit for 1 min only. Help! He is using iPhone 11 Pro Max and you am using iPhone 13 Pro Max. There are always problem recently with parent screen time controls.

Down time was set from 4pm-7:30am everyday; "Snapchat" is set to have 1 min every day, together with all "Social, Games and 33 more" set as 50mins every day (double controlled but still not working); Snapchat is not in "Always Allowed"; iTune and App Store Purchases for Installing Apps is set as "Don't Allowed" and "Always Require" password; Deleting Apps is set to "Allowed". I noticed this issue and tried to solve it at 10pm last night after my kid went to bed. I can delete Snapchat from my kid's phone and still can install back without any password required - which I thought was odd as normally if I set "Installing Apps" as "Don't Allowed" the App Store would disappear but it didn't this time. Once SnapChat has been installed back it can run during downtime without any being limited by screentime control. All other social media apps are working fine under parental control that greyed out as you shown in your photo above. I can not provide a screenshot yet as my kid has took the phone to school this morning, but will be able to tonight once he gets back. But with information above, I am sure you can understand why I need help. I've been struggle with iPhone screentime for a while, it seems constantly broke down with different issues. This time it really gets me as I couldn't find any solutions.

Hi there, unfortunately no, haven't received any helpful insights on this topic from Apple. However, I have removed any VPN apps that has been installed on my kids' phone which I believe somehow contributed to this problem. I have also purchased ASUS router to replace my old router (model AX5400 - cheaper one but with smaller area coverage or AX86U - expensive one with larger area coverage) that has perfect family control for gaming, media streaming, gambling, etc. It blocks off any contents you don't want your kids to access but still allow normal internet access for school works etc.. See screenshots below.

Apple doesn't care. I haven't received any helpful insights on this topic from them.
