Cut and paste in Pages (Macbook Pro)

When I cut & paste a section of text in Pages on my MacBook, it looses formatting and links. It this a bug or just some idiotic feature?

trouble copying and pasting from google doc into pages I'm running 15.3.2 on a brand new macbook air. When I copy text from a google doc and try to paste it into a pages doc I get an paragraph of small boxed question marks. Also, sometime, when I try to cut and paste from an email into pages, the paste works, other times, it's those boxed question marks again.

Pages 14.4 word count not showing full details automatically In Apple Pages version 14.4, on MacBook Pro, MacOS Sequoia 15.6, I know how to show the word count "pop-up menu" or whatever it is called on the bottom of the screen but unless I click it, it will not show the details. It just shows 1 or 2 or 3.. boxes followed by the aspect that it is showing (--whatever I last selected it to show, for instance "words"). Seeing will help you understand: It is this: and it should show "26 words" as I can determine when I click on it like this: This hasn't worked right for me for years. Any suggestions as to why and how to fix? It is very inconvenient to have to click to see. Disabling and re-enabling (with shift - command - W) does not fix it. Thanks for your attention

Not my experience with Pages v13.1 on macOS Ventura 13.5 with a regular (default) word processing document.

I have heading paragraph styles with color, drop caps with color, a (colored) hyperlink in another paragraph, bold body text in paragraphs… and so on. I can randomly cut and paste this content into different locations in the document without any formatting, text attribute, or link losses. Even when the target is a text box.
