I purchased a soundtrack from a movie and now I’m being told after I paid for it and I bought it that it’s not available any longer so it’s like I was only renting it when the store acted like I was buying it like an album or a CD. What can be done about this?

Hello seanbhouston
I would like to recommend a few solutions which may help. Before we proceed, I would assume you have not moved to another country and the music you lost is purchased at your current location.
Try unhiding your music purchases with the link below. Sometimes purchased content gets hidden either by mistake or it happens for no reason.
Hide and unhide music, movies, TV shows, audiobooks, and books - Apple Support
If you have moved to other country, you would need to change your Apple ID country back to the country that you purchased the music or any content from. Purchased content are not transferrable between different countries.
Change your Apple ID country or region - Apple Support
If the problem persists, either due to copyright issues (perhaps the rights to distribute that music has expired) it may be removed from iTunes Store and no longer be available for redownload. It is always best to have multiple backups in your personal storage devices so you have access to your purchased files at any time.
I hope my solution helps.

Zarke
Me too. I have the same problem.
I have the same problem. Strange - the music is available on my Mac - but not on my iPad! What gives?
