There are a few reasons why you might not be getting notifications on your iPhone. Here are some of the most common causes:

  • Do Not Disturb mode is turned on. Do Not Disturb mode silences all notifications, so make sure it's turned off. You can do this by swiping down from the top of your screen and tapping the crescent moon icon.
  • You're in a Focus mode. Focus modes are like Do Not Disturb mode, but they can be customized to block notifications from specific apps or people. To check if you're in a Focus mode, swipe down from the top of your screen and tap the Focus icon.
  • You've turned off notifications for a specific app. You can turn off notifications for individual apps in the Settings app. To do this, go to Settings > Notifications and scroll down to the app you want to change. Toggle the Allow Notifications switch to the off position.
  • Your iPhone is in Airplane mode. Airplane mode turns off all wireless connections, including cellular data and Wi-Fi. This means that you won't be able to receive notifications if your iPhone is in Airplane mode.
  • Your iPhone is not connected to the internet. If your iPhone is not connected to the internet, you won't be able to receive notifications from apps that need to connect to the internet to send notifications.
  • Your iPhone is not up to date. Sometimes, software updates can fix bugs that can cause notification problems. Make sure your iPhone is up to date by going to Settings > General > Software Update.

If you've checked all of these things and you're still not getting notifications, you can try restarting your iPhone. If that doesn't work, you can contact Apple support for help.

I’m now having this and keep missing calls from my doctor/medical clinic and i only get notified after it goes to voicemail. I can actually be using my phone and the first thing I see is a banner for voicemail, no banner for phone call, no noise, vibration or anything. I checked all the settings. Silence Unknown callers is off, sound is on, do not disturb or other similar focus is not activated (to be honest, i get notifications for all kinds of things when i actually have one of those on where everything is supposed to be silenced!) It also used to tell me with my ipad if someone was calling and that is also not happening.

It’s all kind of messed up lately. I will probably try completely rebuilding and starting from scratch and seeing if that helps. I’ve rebooted multiple times but this keeps happening.

EDIT: I just noticed that my AT&T active armor sent all these calls directly to voicemail because they were labeled “Private caller” So it is a problem with the carrier or the caller not allowing enough info to let the call through.

I can’t ‘report’ private callers and yet it is labeled with a “severe” threat. WTH?

Its January 19, 2024, I bought a new Ipro 15 because my phone did not ring randomly. This phone is doing the same thing. Verizon told me, if you look at your phone while ringing, it will not ring, by design by Apple.

I dont know whats going on, I already missed one call this am.

I have checked all the settings, unless I missed one, dont think so.

HELP - APPLE - PLEASE FIX THIS.

March 2024

my phone updated last night – and nothing works right

Incoming calls don’t ring. notifications For text aren’t happening.

My calendar is not connecting or updating or allowing me to add to or take away from

It’s a mess and I needed to work today not fuss with a phone that updated with all of these “bugs “in the system- and when I called, I was told I’d have to pay for support – I didn’t ask for an update, so why should I have to pay for support – Apple doesn’t care

Even my iPhone12 Pro Max has stopped ringing while receiving voip calls like calls through application like whatssap, meet etc. However, recieving ring for regular calls through cellular and able to make outgoing calls from all applications.

I have started observing this issue after 17.6.1 iOS upgrade. Please let me know anyone finds solution for this.

Tried almost all the available options but still no luck.
