My photo library is not showing up in Photos app
My library is certainly not empty.
The 'use as system library' button is greyed out, which means that this is set.

Could you have possibly made a new, empty Library?
The first thing I would do is to close Photos and option-click the Photos app. You'll get a list of all your Libraries like this:
And you can see if other libraries are listed--I have several. See if you have more than one, and try those.
In case other libraries have gotten lost to Photos, another thing to try is to use the search field in Finder and search your drives for "photoslibrary" like this
They are usually in the Pictures folder, but I see that one of mine ended up in Documents by mistake, and that's why it got lost.
Let us know if you find your Library or, otherwise, if you don't...
