I don’t have my Mac recovery key

For some reason unknown to me, I seem to have forgotten my Mac’s login password and the only way to get to my account (only admin account) is to use the recovery key instead, which I have no clue I had one on the Mac.

I created a recovery key using my iPhone but it doesn’t work when typed in the Mac.

what else can I do to login to my Mac?

Thank you

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

This is the salient comment: " ...I seem to have forgotten my Mac’s login password..."

A good way to help remember the login password is to use it maybe once per week to restart. Restarting periodically is a very good idea anyway.
