Login issues with Hide My Email

I was logged into reddit with my Apple ID using hide my email. I couldn't unlink my apple ID from reddit for some reason so I removed reddit from apps using hide my email. but now whenever i login to reddit using my apple id to create a new account it logs me into my old one. Is there a way I can unlink my apple id outside of reddit from settings??

any help is appreciated

Are these the steps you followed to remove the App from Sign in with Apple?

Manage the apps that you use with Sign in with Apple - Apple Support

When you stop using Sign in with Apple following that support article you should be given 2 options when visiting the site again for using Sign in with Apple. The one you want is to Create New Account, if you choose Sign in with Apple again then it will sign in using the account you had.

Another location to check is the stored passwords in Safari. On the Mac, go to Safari > Settings > Passwords. On an iOS device, go to Settings > Passwords.

Still nothing. Deleted all entries in keychain access and 'Sign in with apple' , cleared cookies, switched browsers. Contacted reddit support but still think this is an apple issue.

Edit: I logged in on my iphone, clicked delete account and pressed share email and for some weird reason it actually worked. Thank you so much for your help.

It does appear you have followed all the steps needed to accomplish what you want. The only other thing I can think of to do is to remove the Reddit Keychain from you Mac. This could be the reason why the same thing happens when using other devices as the Keychain is shared. Go to the Utilities folder and open Keychain Access. In the search field, type "Reddit" and the previous login should show up there. Try removing it and see if that makes a difference. I would also remove the many reddit cookies in Safari just to make sure.

There is a glitch with Apple's hide my login through apps. Spent hours with Apple support and they couldn't address it. Hide my doesn't work to log you back in once you get logged out of some apps. They tried to blame it on the app developer but this is an Apple feature and Apple should be the one to address the issue. So frustrating that Apple has this feature but doesn't support it. It resulted in me losing my account and all data on an app.

Those were indeed the ones i followed. I stopped using sign in with apple for reddit. i clicked on create an account which actually prompted me to the "hide my email or dont" page - which made me kind of hopeful - but nope it signed me back into my old account and did not even associate a new email address. I also do not have any passwords for reddit.

Sorry I was unable to help, please reply back on what you find out. Does using a Private Browser window make any difference? I don't know where else the password would be coming from on your device. It may be that Reddit detects your IP address and fills in the information from previous login, but I am curious if they are able to offer more information.

Thats okay, when I first stumbled upon the issue I used a vpn and that didnt change anything. I dont know if this is how private relay email works but from my guess upon clicking 'Delete Account' on a mobile device and clicking on 'Share my Email' sent reddit servers my actual email associated with the @privaterelay email address - or Apple ID - and somehow confirmed my identity therefore allowing me to delete the account. I have no idea how this works though so this is purely speculation.
