You’re not doing this in Wallet & Apple Pay to use for Apple TV purchases. Refer to the instructions provided here: If you need to change or update your Apple ID payment method - Apple Support

1. In the Settings app in your iPhone or iPad (instructions for other devices are in the provided link);
2. Tap your name.- this is your Apple ID right at the top!
3. Tap Payment & Shipping.
