Apple TV remote with macbook

Is there a way to connect an Apple TV remote to a 2012 MacBook Pro running Ventura? I recently up dated my 2012 MacBook Pro from Catalina to Ventura and previously, there used to be a setting to pair Apple TV remotes. I’m not seeing that setting anywhere now. has it moved or was it possibly removed?

If your Mac is a 2012 model, it's not running Ventura; you said "2012" twice. Or did you use some hack to do so?
