Voice mail coming in hours after the call

My carrier is Tmobile. I’ll get a call that I can’t pick up for whatever reason, the caller leaves a voice mail that I receive 4, 5 hours later. T Mobile has not in 4 times of my calling them been able to do anything. Now tech support told me that it is a problem with the e-sim card. Does anyone else have this problem and know of a fix?

Voicemail is a service of your carrier, if the eSIM is bad, then they need to issue you a new one. Tech support at T-Mobile should have known this. Call them back and escalate the issue to a manager or a real tech who can help you.

If you know that someone called you and may have left a voice mail message, you can call into your carrier’s voice mail system to listen to the message. The caller’s message should be available there, even if it’s not appearing in your iPhone’s visual voicemail yet.

For most carriers, you can dial into their voice mail system by dialing your own phone number, including the area code, from your iPhone. Usually you can do that automatically by opening the Phone app, selecting the numeric keypad, and holding down 1.
