Tempo changes by itself when dragging midi into main window

Whenever I drag a midi file into the main window, the tempo changes and defaults to 120 bpm. The native information on the file doesn't contain any tempo data. Additionally, I have it so default tempo behavior is set to "don't analyze region tempo or change project tempo". Project tempo mode is also set to "keep tempo mode". The problems also persist without any plugins in the project so I can't link the bug to a single plugin .

Why does this keep happening? I need this to stop.

Since tempo information is a part of the midi specification, a window should pop up in Logic while importing a midi file, where you can choose between ignore or import tempo information.

Maybe you have accidentally clicked on " Do not show this message again". To reset the warnings go to Logic Pro > Preferences > General > Notifications.

If that doesn't work for you, simply import your midi into a new, empty session, change the tempo, then copy and paste the midi file(s) into your working session.
