I forgot my esim password how do I reset it without locking my SIM card

SIM PIN functionality is the same on eSIMs as for nanoSIMs.
Regardless, DON’T guess. (the lockout works the same way as well)
If you’ve not changed the PIN yourself, your carrier should know their “default” PIN used when provisioned.
If you DID change the PIN yourself and simply forgot it, contact your carrier for a PUK.
