imac made loud pop and now it wont power on
My 2007 iMac was sitting on my desk and all of the sudden it made a loud popping sound and stopped turning on. Any tips on what the problem is?

At 16 years old, that sounds like a catastrophic failure.
The Mac is obsolete, ancient in computer years and no longer supported by Apple. If it's suffered a failure, it's extremely likely the cost to repair will far exceed the worth of the device.
Apple will no longer work on it and independent shops may not even be able to find parts.
Time to get a new, or newer, iMac and rely on your backups for data migration.
