Manual VPN connection needed for internet access

I lost internet access while connected to my home wifi which used to work without problems. Reboots didn’t help. Other devices were fine. I then manually activated a VPN connection in system settings which was installed along with the app of my VPN provider. And it worked. The issue is it keeps deactivating all the time. In VPN under system settings that is. There’s a toggle. And sometimes I want to access the internet without VPN. Why would internet access be blocked like that all of a sudden?

Often time a user will install and use a VPN in the belief it will protect their identity and other times to access content on the Internet from Other Regions or Countries

Then there are those who are mandated by their Employer to use a VPN to connect to the Office Network to work from Home

In the first scenario above.

VPNs are business.

To use their services one needs to supply personal info including some method to Pay for the Service.

What the VPN does with this Personal Info now becomes their property and can be used for various purposes the user in not even away of.

As for why the VPN is toggling on and off and being disruptive to you connection, your may consider contacting the VPN Service for insights
