ipod classic not reconized

itunes installed on pc, plug in IPOD CLASSIC but it is not recognized, says ok to disconnect. itune shows my details on ipod but thats all. I want to dowload music onto ipod

I have a brand new 6th generation apple Ipod. When I connect it to my computer, it says connected to Itunes, but It doesn't give me any further options. It seemed sync with my I tunes, but I can't get any further than the Connected to ITunes screen. iPod classic 3g not showing up in iTunes over firewire I have an iPod classic 3g that I have tried to connect over FireWire to my Mac, when connected with usb, the iPod shows up in iTunes but It says corrupted, need restore, but when I click restore it says connect with FireWire, so I connect it to FireWire (with an adapter that I have tested and does work) but it never shows up in iTunes or the desktop or disk utility? iPod and iTunes My computer (PC with Windows 10) recognizes my iPod Classic, but iTunes does not. The icon for the iPod doesn't appear on the iTunes page. Right now, iTunes will only play one song at a time from the library on the computer, and nothing from the iPod. The device shows up in "Printers and Devices," but is not recognized as an iPod. I have rebooted everything at least once, to no avail.
