I deleted preferences on iMovie to try and get some Of my clips from showing up black to showing up normal again. Deleting preferences said it wouldn’t get rid Of all of my projects but I’ve followed the instructions on how to find the old projects and nothing is working. Any other suggestions?

Close iMovie. Navigate to wherever your old library is located. By default it will be located in the Movies folder (Finder menu/Go/Home/Movies) and double click on the library’s icon. iMovie will open in that library.

When you deleted preferences iMovie opened in a new blank (empty) library. Your projects are safely in your old library. Reopen your old library to get back to your projects.
