You haven't provided any details regarding the source of the PDF files you're downloading – whether it's from iMessage, email, Safari, or another app.

If you're having trouble opening or downloading PDF files on your iPhone 12 Pro from Safari, there could be several reasons behind this issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:

  1. Ensure that your device has a stable internet connection. PDF files often need to be downloaded from the internet before they can be opened.
  2. Make sure you have enough storage space available on your device to download and open PDF files.
  3. If you have content blockers or ad-blockers enabled, they might interfere with downloading PDFs. Disable them temporarily to see if it makes a difference.
  4. If you're using a specific app to open PDF files, ensure that the app is updated to the latest version. You can update apps from the App Store.
  5. Try downloading and opening different PDF files to determine if the issue is specific to one file or a general problem.
  6. If the issue persists, you can try resetting your network settings. Go to Settings > General > Transfer & Reset Reset > Reset Network Settings. Keep in mind that this will reset all network-related settings, including Wi-Fi passwords, VPN.
  7. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary software glitches. Turn off your iPhone, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on.
    1. Restart the device. That's it.
    2. Still not solved --> Force restart iPhone - Apple Support
  8. If the issue persists, you can try resetting all settings on your iPhone. This will not erase your data but will reset all personalized settings to their default values. Go to Settings > General > Transfer & Reset > Reset > Reset All Settings and confirm the action. Note that you will need to reconfigure your settings afterward. All settings—including network settings, the keyboard dictionary, the Home screen layout, location settings, privacy settings, and Apple Pay cards—are removed or reset to their defaults. No data or media are deleted.
    1. Reset All Settings: Return iPhone settings to their defaults - Apple Support:- Return iPhone settings to their defaults
    2. You can return settings to their defaults without erasing your content.
    3. If you want to save your settings, back up your iPhone before returning them to their defaults. For example, if you’re trying to solve a problem but returning settings to their defaults doesn’t help, you might want to restore your previous settings from a backup.
  9. Make sure you have the latest updates installed.
    1. Update Over-the-Air (OTA) —> Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support (IN)
    2. Update using iTunes/Finder —> Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support (IN)

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it is recommended to reach out to Apple Support or visit an authorized service center for further assistance. They can provide specific guidance based on your device model and iOS version.

I’m sorry, but I’m not sure what you mean by “program” in this context. If you are looking for a way to open and view PDF files on your iPhone 12 Pro, there are several options available to you.

One option is to use the **Adobe Acrobat Reader** app, which is a free PDF viewer that allows you to open, view, and annotate PDF files on your iPhone 12 Pro. You can download the app from the App Store ¹.

Another option is to use the **Apple Books** app, which is a built-in app on your iPhone 12 Pro that allows you to read and organize eBooks and PDFs. To open a PDF file in Apple Books, simply tap on the file and it will open in the app ².

I hope this helps!
