MacBook pro 2019, two thunderbolt port, USB Type C Cable Specifications

Hi,

In 2019, I purchased 13-inch, 2019, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports MacBook Pro. It came with 61W charger and USB Type C to Type C cable. I want to know the specifications of the cable. Meaning, I want to know (i) Max Power Delivery Supported (ii) Features such as Display Port, Speed etc supported by the cable.

Does anyone know about it?

Thanks,

Aravind

Hi, Aravind, here you go, here's the specs on your MacBook Pro 2019 with 2 thunderbolt ports:

MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2019, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports) - Technical Specifications (CA)

otherwise go to everymac.com and search for your MacBook Pro by year, model number, number of Thunderbolt ports, etc, and it'll give you more detailed specs on your MacBook Pro from 2019

Full-featured USB-C cables are sold as USB-C 3.1 cables.

The ends are marked with the SuperSpeed + symbol

Top ordinary power rating is 100 watts -- there are also some 60 Watts cables available.

NB>> Cables for use with a display and/or high-speed drives must be 1 meter or shorter.

USB 3.2 achieves its 20 G bits/sec rated speed -- with this SAME cable -- by momentarily 'turning around' the inbound into outbound (and/or the reverse).

Note: some Macs' USB-C ports support ONLY 10 G bits/sec speeds, and not 20 G bits/sec speeds.

The model you cited supports USB-C at up to 10 G bits/sec speeds on its USB-C and its ThunderBolt ports when used as USB-C ports.
