Making data from one workbook sheet to appear on another workbook sheet

I've recently bought a MacBook. I've imported my Excel files to the new laptop, however I've encountered lot of challenges due to the changes made to my files.

In the Excel it was easy to make data from one workbook to appear in another. Now, I would like to request your assistance with regard to doing that on Numbers in Mac.

Your help will be highly appreciated

Hi Jerry,

Apple Numbers does not offer an option to link data from one workbook (first file) to a second workbook (second file), this functionality is not included.

You can only link data between worksheets / tables in the same file.

If you really need / want this functionality you would have to stay with Excel, Excel for Mac will work with Excel for Windows data. It should be easy to transfer your license / add a Mac installation.

Nobody here can tell you why this is not included, that would be an answer for Apple.

You could send a feedback to the Apple team.

Product Feedback - Apple

Multiple people will tell you it is good that this functionality does not exist, this function is not always easy and will break as soon as you move / rename files.

Hope this will help

Regards Ralf
