Accidentally signed out on Apple ID page on my iMac

Why oh why did, I hit the sign out tab on the bottom of my Apple ID page??? (What was I thinking???? I'm so upset with myself.)

If I understand correctly, I have disconnected iCloud from this computer. How do I get iCloud back on it and connected to my Apple ID?

Also, If I go to apple<system settings<my name with "Apple ID" beneath it, iCloud is not listed and under Devices it says "Failed to load devices"

I'm on a iMac Ventura 13.4

Hello iIdiotNeedsHelp,

The "Sign in on your Mac" section of this page here can help to provide the needed steps for signing back in to your Apple ID on the Mac: Sign in with your Apple ID - Apple Support

1. Choose Apple menu  > System Settings. In earlier versions of macOS, choose Apple menu  > System Preferences.
2. From the sidebar, click Sign In with your Apple ID. In earlier versions of macOS, click Sign In.
On Mac, sign in to your Apple ID in System Settings
3. Enter your Apple ID and password.
4. If prompted, enter the six-digit verification code sent to your trusted device or phone number and complete sign in.

If it seems that particular screen (seen above) is unresponsive or still shows the 'Sign Out' button at the bottom, you may try restarting the Mac to help give it a quick refresh and try again: Shut down or restart your Mac - Apple Support

Cheers.

When I go to system settings<Apple ID, the sidebar has my name under it says "Apple ID".

The page has my name under the photo circle. Under my name, it has my Apple ID (my email address).

Under it has the tab for Name, Phone, Email

Then tab Password & Security

Then tab Payment & Shipping

Then tab Media & Purchases

Devices

Then tab which says, "Failed to load devices"

Under that it has the tab Sign Out.

(Sorry I can't figure out how to screen shot and put it here in the short amount of time that I have.)

I think after I originally hit the Sign Out button the first time, I did something to try to undo my action, I think I restarted the computer. I suspect whatever I did it interfered with the complete sign out??? which is why it says Failed to load devices.

As per your suggestion, I have already shut down and restarted the iMac several times and the Sign Out button has remained.

On my iPhone, when I look at the Apple ID page, it shows this iMac under Devices. So, according to the phone, this iMac is still connected to my Apple ID. However, this iMac is definitely not getting iCloud -- none of my calendar notifications are coming are coming through.

Should I try Signing Out again, then trying the steps above?

Hey iIdiotNeedsHelp,

Since it appears that your Apple ID is still showing on your iMac, restarting my have stopped the sign-out process. Another way to complete the sign-out process is to remove your iMac from your Apple ID. Here’s how: Check your Apple ID device list to find where you're signed in - Apple Support (Do not follow the steps under "Permanently remove a device from your account page”.)

After the process has finished, you should be able to sign into your iMac once again: Sign in with your Apple ID - Apple Support

If you’re still unable to sign into your iMac, please reach out to Apple Support directly: Get Support

All the best.
