When I was I using a friend’s MacBook Air and needed to use Google Chrome, I installed Chrome, but before I was able to browse, I was prompted to enter the login keychain password.
Is this my password to log into keychain?
Could I reset it without knowing what the current password is?
How do I do that?

But I don’t have a Mac regularly. Are you suggesting that I follow these steps when I am using l/borrowing MacBook that I referred to in my original post?
Or would this work on any Mac?
Any chance I could reset the PW using my iPhone?
