What if I lost keychain password?

When I  was I using  a friend’s MacBook Air and needed to use Google Chrome, I installed Chrome, but before I was able to browse, I was prompted to enter the login keychain password.

Is this my password to log into  keychain?

Could I reset it without knowing what the current password is?

How do I do that?

To reset your keychain password, follow these instructions

  1. In the Keychain Access app  on your Mac, choose Keychain Access > Settings.
  2. Click Reset Default Keychains.
  3. Choose Apple menu  > Log Out. When you log in again, save your current login password in a keychain.
