Can I just buy gigabytes?

Reason why I ask this question is because I don’t want to buy iCloud + because I don’t want to pay one dollar just a month for gigabytes that I’m not gonna need all I need is 50 GB but I don’t need that every month so can I just buy gigabytes?

If you have an iCloud+ plan subscription, you pay monthly for iCloud storage.

The subscription runs as long as you don't downgrade.
