camera turns on randomly

a while ago i broke the glass to one of my cameras on the back of my iphone 12 pro max. it might be the reason to this but i’m still nervous so im on here 😭


recently, my camera has been turning on randomly as im literally on my phone and it explicitly says it was on when i swipe down on my control center but the problem is that im never even on my camera app when it does it. i can tell it was on too because my broken camera makes a loud buzzing/rattling sound when used. is this just my broken cameras doing or do i have malware or something 😭😭😭😭

This literally happens to me as well on my 13 Pro, it will be locked and face down and randomly I can hear my camera turn on for a few seconds. Really makes you wonder what kind of telemetry Apple is taking including photos at random, or if an agency somehow has some additional access? Very secure, very trusting, and a total non-answer by SravanKra.
