Travel eSIM

I have an iPhone 14 and will get an eSIM when I travel to France from Canada. When I activate the new eSIM is my Canadian eSIM automatically ‘turned off’?

No. The secondary eSim is added, but the existing one is not turned off.

You can then select which eSim is used for Data, and calls and messages, or turn it off your self if you want.
