Surname suffix when applying for a card

I attempted to apply for an apple card. After getting a "we can verify your identity " response (even after uploading my state id) I called support. We figured out that because I have a suffix (II) at the end of my surname. There is no field for suffix. I was asked to just add to my last name and reapply.

I reapplied and now I am being told that I have applied too many times. I called support and was told I have to wait 30 days to reapply. Is this normal, can't that be bypassed? This whole experience has been really poor so far and if I truly have to wait 30 days I'll find a different card like Chase.

It’s a fraud prevention lock that has kicked in. It may take 30 days for the system to remove the lock.

You can reach out to Goldman Sachs by calling and requesting to speak to a supervisor. Do not chat. That won’t get you anywhere.

When you talk to the supervisor, explain the situation and see if a ticket can be opened and escalate the issue so you can apply sooner than 30 days. If that doesn’t work, Chase is an excellent alternative.

3 times and on the 4th it said sorry to many times. First 2 were name/identity issue due to no place to put my suffix (figured this out after a support call). Third was my fault, I forgot to relift my credit freeze before reapplying with the added suffix. Forth was the sorry to many times. That's when I followed up with another call and was told I had to wait the 30 days because of to many attempts.
