Freeform Workflow Organization - group by name???

I like the idea of Freeform, but what makes it useful compared to doing the same thing in a spreadsheet file on a worksheet with grids, where you can have multiple tabs in a single file, and save it where you want for workflow purposes?

Please tell me it's a newbie problem and there is a way to use Freeform as a workflow tool and not just a posterboard to pdf generator for group planning projects to paste into a complete document, or something.

It seems to me that Freeform creates its own bundle somewhere that includes every tab you create and can be sorted by date or name, but has no other workflow organization capabilities, like multi-page files that can be directed to network folders when using computers (rather than mobile devices).

(I realize there is no real limit to how large a board can be, with respect to my comment about multi-tab files.)

There is a sidebar, but no way to add a folder to it for organizing projects and tabs. (Correct me, please, if I am wrong about that, or anything else in the post.)

It would seem that if you decide to use Freeform in any large way, you are committing to either a huge number of files to sort through by name, or date, and no other organization tool to manage workflows than Favorites.

Is that true? Is there no way to further organize a workflow of boards if you like working in Freeform?
