Music purchased before 2006 shows no purchase date in iTunes PC and will not download to iPhone

Almost all (54 of 55 songs) purchased before 2006 show no purchase date in iTunes on my PC and will not download to my iPhone SE (2). They do appear in the iTunes purchase history on my PC, but not on my phone.

Windows, Windows 10

See Hide and unhide music, movies, TV shows, audiobooks, and books - Apple Support. When you're signed into your Apple ID in iTunes you should see all of your available unhidden purchase history available to stream or download. Check for hidden purchases. This list should get reconciled against any content that has already been downloaded, though occasionally iTunes may show duplicate items. Content purchased before 2010 may have been sold on a single download only basis, and with DRM. Records may not have been kept for earlier purchases, and the redownload terms are only applicable while the content remains in the store. Rights holders can and do remove items over time. Re-releases won't count.

Thank you, that was interesting - but in the end, not helpful. Even though Apple shows that I have purchased the songs that will not download to my iPhone, there is no functionality to allow me to redownload a purchased song. Every time I try the "Report a Problem" link, it forces me to search through all of my purchases (scrolling back for 18 years) before eventually erroring out - despite it starting out with the order number of the missing song.

This is typical of my frustration with Apple software; their hubris in putting out buggy software and then expecting users to support themselves disgusts me.
