Open safari new tab in the left most Tab.
The issue I'm addressing has been persistent for years. Even after numerous OS and Safari updates, Apple has not provided a solution. Windows, on the other hand, has included this feature since the Internet Explorer days.
- What I desire is for any new Safari browser window that I open with a right mouse click and select "Open in a new Tab" to be opened in the left-most window so that I can locate it easily. This is more than a convenience; it's a usability concern. Why has Apple not given users a preference for this seemingly simple feature?
2. Here's a suggestion that might solve this problem: When a new tab is opened by the user but has not yet been viewed, it could be shaded grey, slightly darker than the opened tabs. This feature would be particularly useful when opening multiple links in new tabs simultaneously for later viewing. It's a small detail that, in my opinion, would significantly enhance the browsing experience.
