mail has no content

Frequently get email with subject line but states "This message has no content". Earlier conversation directed to undo privacy setting. Did that to no avail. Only happens on MacBook Air. iPhone will have the message. What do I try next? Thank you.

View menu -> Message -> Raw source will reveal if there is hidden content that is rendered in HTML.

Keep in mind, the sender in the header should be the expended sender, and if it isn't, it might be a phishing attempt for personal information.

Check with your sender that an email was sent at that time that was anything other than plain text before attempting to copy to a text editor, and load with a web browser. Some emails are webpages with components that are not w3.org compliant for rendering within Mac OS Mail client.
