Iphone 11 stopped making or receiving calls

I tried to update my iphone 11 after I received the message "This number is registered to your Apple ID but is not associated with this phone." I did what this said: Add or remove your phone number in Messages or FaceTime - Apple Support

Now my phone has stopped being able to make or receive phone calls and when I restart it says SIM Failure.

What can I do to repair this. I have not touched the SIM card ever.
