how do I change my apple id
I was trying to backup an iPad to my MacBook and so how changed my Apple ID to the id of the iPad. How do I change it back?

We understand you've accidentally changed your MacBook Pro Apple ID to the one on your iPad. We'd be happy to provide information to help you resolve this.
On your MacBook Pro, go to System Settings > ["Your Name"] and scroll down if necessary to press the sign out button. You'll then be prompted to select the data you want to keep on your MacBook.
