My wifi doesn’t work when I’m not News to it

It works on other devices but not mine.

It doesn’t work since I did a software

iPhone X, iOS 16

Troubleshooting iPhone WiFi:

Seems to be an issue with the iPhone's WiFi connection? Try the following...


A few thoughts to try:

I. Start Here: If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch won't Connect to a Wi-Fi Network - Apple Support


II. Clear the Temporary Internet Files:


III. Reconnect to your Network:

  1. Go to: Settings
  2. Tap: Wi-Fi
  3. Disable: Wi-Fi
  4. Wait: 30 seconds
  5. Enable: Wi-Fi


IV. Add Back the Network:

  1. Go to: Settings
  2. Tap: Wi-Fi
  3. Remove: the network
  4. Wait: 30 seconds
  5. Add: the network back


VI. Reset All Network Settings to Default:

Example of items that will be reset: (Wi-Fi Passwords, VPN Connections, etc):

  1. Go To: Settings
  2. Tap: General
  3. Tap: Reset
  4. Tap: Reset Network Settings.
  5. Enter: [Your Passcode]

Your subject is confusing, I have no idea what “News” means.


Here is a general answer→If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t connect to a Wi-Fi network - Apple Support. If that doesn’t resolve the problem you will have to provide a lot more information, including, among other things:

  • Have you tried restarting your router, even if other devices are working with it?
  • All networks, or one specific network?
  • Is it a secured network, or open network?
  • What is the message when you try to connect?
  • Does the network have MAC filtering enabled (aka Access Control)?
  • Do you control the network, or is it someone else’s network?
  • Do you have Private Address enabled for the network?
  • What other troubleshooting have you done?
