MacBook Pro (13-inch M1 2020) - Cost to replace screen (incl. lid...)

Hello everyone... 😒

I have broken my laptop... I work at sea... and we sleep in bunk beds... my laptop fell from the top bunk and crashed to the floor and the screen is well and truly broken.

I do not return to the UK until around 08 Sep... at which point I will be visiting the Genius Bar of my local Apple Store (Glasgow, United Kingdom).

Would anyone be able to provide a guide price for replacement of the screen?

The base unit ie. that business end of the laptop with the keyboard, SSD etc is 100% OK... thank god!

Basically the "lid" needs replaced ie. the screen and the lid which contains the actual screen.

See attached images (x2) of the damage.

Hello… thanks for your reply… now I must say that sounds VERY cheap to replace the enclosure and screen…

$198 is £155… I would consider that very cheap

The reason I question that replacement cost… my father-in-law recently had an iPhone screen replaced in the UK and it cost £350… so now you can understand why I question £155 for a laptop screen 🤷🏻‍♂️

If you can shed any light RE: ☝️ then I would be most grateful.

Your Repair Would be around $198 Because you would need the Enclosure and screen replaced. Hope this helps!
