I bought a macbook off facebook marketplace a while ago but I didn't know what mdm lock was and just recently the lock came on when i reset the mac so I contacted the company and they said to return it if I can. But would there be no way to get my money back I tried contacting the orignal seller and everything. But there has been no response and I really don't know what to do because I really just want my money back but I don't think its going to happen
This community is simply not capable of helping your situation. The best you can do is report the seller to that organization from where you bought the device and wait.
Getting your money back is between you and Facebook marketing and their policies and such.
Life lessons are often costly in many ways.
No one can remove the MDM lock except the organization who applied it.

Yea, I guess I going to have to buy a new one though and even refurbished would have been worth it over losing around $600 for one now i'm back to square one i'll wait for the company reply and hopefully I can transfer my files off at least. But its just so annoying because I don't have that kind of money just to be spending like that. At least I know now which is great about mdm and everything.
