Contacts unable to save because failed password attempts

When I go to add or edit contacts, it asks for a password. When I use the password I THOUGHT it was it fails and I have to wait 60 minutes to re-try. How do I bypass this or change the password?

Hey there JetsFan722, 


You may want to review the accounts you are using to sync contacts to your iPhone. You may need to enter the password you use for a different account.


Manage and delete contacts on your iPhone or iPad   


"Go to Settings > Contacts > Default Account." You'll see a check to the right of the account set as the default contacts account. If this is your iCloud account, you may need to reset your password, following the steps below.


If you forgot your Apple ID password
