I just want to be certain that security updates are still available for my late 2014 iMac 27”. I know that there are some software updates that are not available for this version because of age. My current software version is macOS Big Sur 11.7.9.

You're welcome. Not necessarily. Macs are very secure and unless you are a high profile target, there's little chance you will be infected by malware unless you install it yourself.

As of now Big Sur is still supported. Once Sonoma is released in the fall, it no longer will be.
