Automatic noise reduction?

I am trying to get video/audio of the constant loud noise my neighbor produces when he leaves the tv on when he goes to work, but in video I take with my iPhone 14 pro it is only audible with headphones on. I was wondering if the 14 pro automatically applies a noise filter, and if so if there’s a way to turn it off. It is very loud booming.

Hi there teschen,

If louder audio is not being recorded in videos taken on your iPhone, does this happen with every app that can record videos or only with a specific app? This will help us isolate whether the issue is system-wide or caused by a specific app.

If this happens with multiple apps, these steps from If the microphones on your iPhone aren't working can help resolve what's happening as well:

Clear the microphones
1. Remove any screen protectors, films, or cases from your iPhone.
2. Clear any debris from the openings of your iPhone.

If this continues after following those, please provide more details on if other audio is being recorded as expected so that we can look into this further.

Cheers!
