How do I add a new debit card online

How do I add a new debit card online when every time I enter the information it says "Payment method must be verified"? I can't verify the old card, I had to destroy it because of attempted identity theft. Every Apple link I try takes me to a blank screen and endless spinning wheel, despite the fact that this is a brand-new, high-powered PC THAT I'VE AUTHORIZED.

All I want to do is pay my monthly bill! (And they keep sending me emails, the links in which go nowhere.)

You've mentioned that you're unable to add a payment method to your account due to an error about "payment must be verified". Start with the steps in this article if you haven't already: If your payment method is declined in the App Store or iTunes Store

You may also need to reach out directly to Apple Support. You can reach them here: Get Support

You can also find the support phone number for your region at this link: Contact Apple for support and service

They'll be able to look at why you are seeing that message and how best to get your payment method added.

Thank you, that was excellent. However, in the meantime I found an easier way: you have to delete the old card before you can add a new one, completely opposite every other website!
