my air tag doesn't show up in Find My devices list

I bought new Apple Air Tags and have linked them to my iPhone SE running iOS version 16.6 named the Air Tag and connected successfully. I saw it in Find My app as I completed the set-up. However now I want to try using Find My to test my ability to locate the Air Tag. How do I do that? Do I need to install a Find My APP? Or is it built into iOS - how do I launch Find My?
