WhatsApp chat history

I had uninstalled WhatsApp and then reinstalled but I’m unable to restore my chat history as I’ve forgotten my Apple ID password. I’ve tried to reset the same and then try the new password but it isn’t working. How do I restore my history or recover my password?

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities! Since you forgot your Apple ID password, follow the steps below to reset it:

"Go to Settings.
Tap your name > Password & Security > Change Password.
Follow the onscreen instructions to reset your password."

Change your password in Settings on iPhone

-If you forgot your Apple ID password

If you need assistance with restoring your WhatsApp history, Contact WhatsApp support directly.
